The Real Alcazar

Mudejar style and Moorish gardens. The royal palace is a fusion of Arabian and Christian cultures. Beautiful Arabian mosaics. In its immense gardens you forget you are in the middle of the city. Today it is still used by the Royal family.

Torre del Oro (tower)

Build in the 13 Th. century as a defence tower which controlled the entrance of the port. It is named golden tower because of the golden ceramics which covered the upper part. Some do say because here arrived the gold which came with the boats from America. Actually it is a maritime museum

Parque Maria Luisa - Plaza de España & de Americas

1929 : Ibero –American Expo in Seville. This vast park landscaped by Jean Claude Forestier, director of the Bois de Boulogne in Paris was the setting for the pastiche pavilions of this exp. It is a must to visit this park with a horse carriage. Plaza de España & America are 2 remaining pavilions of this expo.
Plaza de España is build in a combination of Mudejar – gothic and renaissance stile. It has beautiful ceramics. The 48 benches do represent the 48 Spanish provinces. The 4 bridges represent the four Spanish former kingdoms: Castilla – Leon – Arragon – Navarra. Actually it are government offices.
Plaza de Americas: Is made of 3 buildings
The renaissance building houses today the archaeological museum (Entrance free for UE – others 1,5€ - same time table as museum of fine arts TEL: 954.232.401)
The gothic building are today offices from the town hall.
The mudejar building is museum of andalusian folk arts (museo de Artes y costumbres populares) same time table and entrance price as archaeological museum.

Casa Pilatos (Manor house)

A 14th Century Manor House from the Marquees of Tarifa. The name is due to the similarity with Pontius Pilate’s home in Jerusalem. Palacio de la Condesa de Lebrija (Palace)

Torre de la Reina

ANDALUCIA AUTENTICA in Torre de la Reina; Hotel situated to 12 km of Seville and 10 km of the Roman ruins of Itálica. In the 12th century this fortress was used by King Fernando III during the conquest of Seville. It belonged to Doña Maria de Molina, in 14th century. Now it is a luxurious hotel declared National Monument because of its historic value and beautiful surroundings. It has congress and meeting room for 700 people.
